A Day of Adventure, Friendship, and Growth at Huai Tueng Thao Waterfall

On Sunday, 28 June 2026, the Dāna Education family stepped away from the classroom and into nature for a memorable community hiking trip to Huai Tueng Thao Waterfall in Chiang Mai. Bringing together children, volunteers, supporters, and friends, the day was filled with adventure, laughter, and meaningful connections.

Our journey began early in the morning at the Dāna Education Center, where excitement filled the air as everyone gathered with their backpacks, water bottles, and lunches. After arriving at the trailhead, the group set off on a scenic hike through the forest. Along the way, the children encouraged one another, shared stories, and admired the beauty of the surrounding nature. For many of them, this was their first time hiking to a waterfall, making the experience even more special.

When we finally reached the waterfall, the excitement was unforgettable. Smiles spread across every face as the children explored the cool water, splashed beneath the cascading falls, and celebrated the accomplishment of completing the hike together. It was a reminder that learning doesn't only happen inside a classroom, it also happens through exploration, teamwork, and shared experiences.

After the hike, everyone returned to Huai Tueng Thao Lake for a relaxing picnic lunch. Families and volunteers enjoyed meals together while sharing conversations and reflecting on the day's adventure. The afternoon continued with a lively game of Capture the Flag, where teamwork, communication, and creativity were on full display. The day concluded with a lucky draw, bringing even more smiles as the children received thoughtful gifts.

Throughout the trip, we also interviewed participants at different stages of the journey. Their responses reflected excitement, gratitude, determination, and joy, showing how outdoor experiences help build confidence and create lasting memories.
